Mamediem Limited is managed by a crop of seasoned retired military officers who served at the highest level of national defence management and distinguished themselves in the Army, Navy and Air Force. The Company’s Board of Directors is constituted by the following:
Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Zakariya Maimalari (rtd) FSS psc
Chairman of the Board of Directors. A retired Armoured Corps Officer with over 20 years outstanding service in the Nigerian Army, he was trained in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Pakistan and Ghana. He held several operational appointments within the Nigerian Army Amour Corps. In recognition of his professional and leadership abilities, he was appointed the Military Administrator of Jigawa State. Following the decision by the Federal Government in 1999 that all military officers who held political appointments should disengage from the Service, he retired into private business, where he has continued to prove himself. He is presently the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Excel Standards Limited, an agro-allied Company based in Kano, Nigeria. He is a recipient of the 2021 Nigerian Export Promotion Council Ecological and Organic Agriculture Champion Award. He served as the Secretary of the Security Thematic Group of Nigeria's Vision 20:20:20 National Technical Working Group. He is a Director of the International Paints for West Africa (IPWA) as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of Barewa Rugby Football Club, Kano.
Air Vice Marshall Christian Tsaro Dii (rtd) GSS psc+
Executive Director Business Development and Logistics. An aeronautical engineer with 35 years service in the Nigerian Air Force, he holds a Doctorate Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He trained in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, France, Pakistan and Ghana. Air Vice Marshall Dii has served extensively in the Nigerian Air Force, the Defence Headquarters, the Presidential Air Fleet, Office of the National Security Adviser as well as in several military training institutions. An accomplished expert in interfacing with Original Equipment Manufacturers and top level operations managers, Dii brings on-board proven experience in specialised organisation in training, policy and guidance to top level management. He has several publications to his name and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and Society for Peace Studies and Practice.
Rear Admiral Obiora Charles Medani (rtd) GSS psc+
Executive Director Administration and Finance. A professional sailor with over 33 years service in the Nigerian Navy, he held the positions of the Flag Officer Commanding the Eastern Naval Command of the Nigerian Navy, which is responsible for protecting the bulk of Nigeria's offshore and onshore hydrocarbon infrastructure as well as the Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Navy. Admiral Medani served extensively at the highest level of defence management in and outside Nigeria including the Defence Headquarters of Nigeria and Sierra Leone. He served actively in ECOMOG operations in Sierra Leone and helped in developing policy papers that led to the successful transition of the Nigerian ECOMOG contingent to the United Nations Mission Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) as well as in negotiating the peace process that led to the end of the civil war in Sierra Leone. He trained in Nigeria, the United States, Pakistan and India. Admiral Medani brings to the team extensive experience in managing high level relationship with international defence and security organisations, Original Equipment Manufacturers and national and international Non-Governmental Organisations.
Barrister Ikenna Udeaja
Company Secretary. A United Kingdom trained lawyer with over 10 year's post-graduation experience. He has worked with reputable companies in the United Kingdom and Nigeria among which are Satander Bank, Westcot Credit Services, University of Hull and General Electrics (GE Money). He is presently a Senior Partner in the law firm of Brian Michael Associates, a leading law firm in Nigeria specialising in Corporate and Commercial Practice, Consumer Finance, Real Estate, Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution. Ikenna brings to the team extensive experience dealing with high profile companies in areas of credit evaluation, due diligence compliance, contract drafting, legal research and market analysis.
